Account & Data Deletion

Request deletion of your Emploi account and personal data.

Emploi is operated by NilesoftAI. In compliance with the Digital Personal Data Protection Act, 2023 (DPDP Act) and other applicable Indian law, you may ask us to close your account and erase your personal data at any time, free of charge.

Account deletion is handled by request, not from inside the app. The Emploi app currently has no in-app "delete account" button — signing out does not delete anything. Use either method below and we will process it within 30 days.

Option 1: Prepare a deletion request (Recommended)

Fill in your registered details below. This generates a correctly formatted request email that you then send to us — nothing is transmitted from this page.

Optional. Helps us locate your profile faster. Format: +91 followed by your 10-digit number.
Deleting verification data alone removes your verified badge but leaves your account usable.

Option 2: Email us directly

If the form doesn't work for you, or you no longer have the app installed, just write to us. No particular format is required.

    Open your email client and use the account you registered with — this is how we verify it is really you.

    Write to privacy@emploi-swipejobs.com (or swipejobsindia@gmail.com as a backup).

    Use the subject line "Account Deletion Request - Emploi".

    Tell us your registered email, your role (Seeker or Giver), and whether you want full deletion or only your verification data erased.

    We acknowledge within 24 hours and complete the deletion within 30 days.

If we cannot confirm the request came from the account owner, we may ask you one or more verification questions before acting. This protects you against someone else deleting your account.

What happens when your account is deleted

  • Immediately on processing: your profile, job posts, applications, and matches are hidden from all other users, and you can no longer sign in.
  • Within 90 days: your identity, profile, phone number, location data, avatar, work photos, job images, and liveness verification selfie are permanently deleted from our production systems and databases.
  • Verification audit records — challenge results, face-match scores, and the last four digits of your Aadhaar number where you completed the optional KYC step — are kept for up to 180 days to prevent repeat abuse of the verification system, then permanently purged. Your full Aadhaar number is never collected or stored at any point.
  • Message history between you and other users is retained securely for up to 180 days for dispute resolution and safety investigations, then permanently purged. Copies already delivered to the other party's device remain with them.
  • Ratings and reviews you wrote or received are anonymised and detached from your profile, so the counterparty's reputation record stays intact.
  • Consent records — which version of the Terms and Privacy Policy you accepted, and when — are retained as statutory evidence of consent, as required by law.
  • Encrypted backups may hold residual copies for up to a further 90 days before being overwritten in the normal backup rotation.

Alternatives to deleting your account

  • Just want to stop notifications? Turn them off in your device settings — no need to delete your account.
  • Just want to stop sharing location? Revoke the location permission in your device settings. The app falls back to a default city-level area.
  • Want to remove a photo or your bio? Edit your profile in the app.
  • Want your verified badge removed? Use the "Verification data only" scope in the form above.
